what are our fundamental beliefs?!
GOD LOVES US
For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life. John 3:16
But think about this: while we were wasting our lives in sin, God revealed His powerful love to us in a tangible display—the Anointed One died for us. Romans 5:8

aLL HAVE SINNED
You see, all have sinned, and all their futile attempts to reach God in His glory fail. Romans 3:23
We are all messed up like a person compromised with impurity; even all our right efforts are like soiled rags.
We’re drying up like a leaf in autumn and are blown away by wrongdoing. Isaiah 64:6

tHE RESULT OF SIN
Consider this: sin entered our world through one man, Adam; and through sin, death followed in hot pursuit. Death spread rapidly to infect all people on the earth as they engaged in sin. Romans 5:12
When a person is carried away with desire, lured by lust, and when desire becomes the focus and takes control, it gives birth to sin. When sin becomes fully grown, it produces death.
If you give in to temptation and desire, then sin is born. If you give in to sin long enough, it overpowers you and costs you your life.
My dearly loved brothers and sisters, don’t be misled. James 1:14-16

BEING GOOD WONT SAVE US
He came to save us. It’s not that we earned it by doing good works or righteous deeds; He came because He is merciful. He brought us out of our old ways of living to a new beginning through the washing of regeneration; and He made us completely new through the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5
For it’s by God’s grace that you have been saved. You receive it through faith. It was not our plan or our effort. It is God’s gift, pure and simple. You didn’t earn it, not one of us did, so don’t go around bragging that you must have done something amazing. Ephesians 2:8-9

GOD'S GIFT
The payoff for a life of sin is death, but God is offering us a free gift—eternal life through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King. Romans 6:23
But for all who did receive and trust in Him, He gave them the right to be reborn as children of God; John 1:12

NEW CREATION
So if you believe deep in your heart that God raised Jesus from the pit of death and if you voice your allegiance by confessing the truth that “Jesus is Lord,” then you will be saved! because as Scripture says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:9, 13
Therefore, if anyone is united with the Anointed One, that person is a new creation. The old life is gone—and see—a new life has begun! All of this is a gift from our Creator God, who has pursued us and brought us into a restoredand healthy relationship with Him through the Anointed. And He has given usthe same mission, the ministry of reconciliation, to bring others back to Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

our theological affirmation
At Faith-View we're committed to preaching a holistic message. Focused on the restorative power Jesus Christ manifested and the unending love with which we're pursued and pursue others. It's very important to who we are as a church that we maintain balance and depend heavily on sound biblical doctrine. God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has
eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are
one God.

People_
We are all
made in the
spiritual image of
God, to be
like Him in
character. We are the
supreme objects of God’s
creation. Although mankind
has tremendous potential
for good, we
are marred by disobedience toward God called “sin”. This
state separates us from God.

EternityWe all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. The place of eternal separation from God is called Hell. Heaven is the place of eternal union and eternal life with God.
John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15 (hell); Matthew 25:41; Revelation 21:27 (heaven) |
Jesus Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13 13 |
Salvation Salvation is a gift from God to mankind. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by repentance and faith.
Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1 |
EternalBecause God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in their salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
John 16:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25; 10:10,14; 1 Peter 1:3-5 |
The Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Son as God. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, guidance in doing what is right, and spiritual gifts.
